FUTSAL LEAGUE RULES & REQUIREMENTS

LEAGUE RULES / REQUIREMENTS

The game referee will verbally provide detailed rules to each team before the start of their first game.

Format: 5 v 5 - (4 on the field plus GK), maximum roster size 15

Check-In: Teams must check-in at the registration table at least 30 minutes before their first game of the session, and must provide all required paperwork.

Game Time - 2 x 20 minute half's, with 3 minute half-time

Kick-off - Determined by coin toss

Substitutions - Substitutions will be done on the fly, player on the field must be within 5 yards of the bench before substitute may enter.

Restarts - SIDE LINE - No throw-ins, ball is passed in from the sideline, END LINE - Regular corner kicks. If it is the defending teams ball the goal keeper throws the ball in (NO PUNTS). After gaining possession of the ball players have 5 seconds to get the ball back in play.

Divisions - Each division will consist of 4 teams. Teams will play each other once then the top team in each division will play in the championship game.

Determining Winners: Teams shall be awarded points on the following basis:

  • Three (3) points for each win.
  • One (1) point for each tie.
  • Zero (0) points for a loss.

In the event of a tie: If one or more teams are tied after regular qualifying play the following will be used as a tie breaker:

1. The winner in head to head competition.

2. Total goal differential (goals scored versus goals against).

3. Least goals against.

4. Most goals scored.

Play-off/Championship Games Tied - For games that are tied in the play-off and championship rounds we will have regular penalty kicks (5 kicks for each team followed by sudden death if tied after the 5 kicks).

Home Team: The home team will be the team that appears first on the game schedule. The home team will be required to switch to an alternate jersey if a color conflict is declared by the referee. If the home team cannot supply an alternate jersey the visiting team will be required to supply an alternate jersey.

Forfeit and Byes: Teams failing to report ready to play within five (5) minutes of the scheduled kickoff time, will forfeit the game with a score of 3-0. The winner will be awarded three (3) points.

Injury Delays: There will be no time added to games due to injuries. Injured players need to leave the field as soon as possible so that play can resume.

PENALTIES / ISSUES

Disputes: All disputes shall be settled by the tournament directors.

Conduct: All coaches have total responsibility to oversee and manage the conduct of their players, substitutes, bench friends and spectators, at all times.

Fouls: If a team commits 5 fouls in a half then each additional foul in that half will be a penalty kick from the penalty spot without the defending team being able to set up a wall. The foul count is started again in the second half regardless of how many fouls a team had committed in the first half.

Suspended Games: If, in the opinion of game officials, a game must be terminated for misconduct of players, bench or spectators and/or un sportsmanlike conduct; the offending team(s) could be suspended from further play and forfeits that game and all remaining games. The score at the termination of the game will stand. All previous points earned remain as played. Additionally, the home league, state association and/or FIFA Association will be contacted as appropriate.

YELLOW and RED CARDS: A player receiving two yellow cards in a single game is considered the same as receiving a RED CARD. A player given a red card or two yellow cards in one game shall be expelled from that game and shall not be replaced. A player or coach receiving a red card or two yellow cards in one game shall not be allowed to participate in the next game. The tournament committee reserves the right to modify penalties assessed on a player or coach for violent play or more serious conduct violations. For purposes of this tournament a coach can be carded for his/her actions or those of spectators or friends of the team. A team will lose 1 point for each red card per game.

Age Groups: U12/U13 Boys & U15/U16 Girls

Team Rosters: Teams must provide a team roster, this will be emailed to each team. This is to be .

Medical Release Requirement: Players must submit a medical release form. Download, print, and complete this form and submit it to your coach

USSF Registration: Players must complete and submit a USSF registration (valid for 12 months).

EQUIPMENT / UNIFORM

Shin Guards: All players are required to wear shin guards.

Shoes: NO OUTDOOR CLEATS ALLOWED! all players must wear tennis shoes/indoor soccer shoes.

Ball - Regular size 4 futsal ball, Futsal-Factory will provide all game balls
